RET — Encoded Rotation with Pre-Tilt
An encoded single-axis rotation stage with a fixed 54.7° pre-tilt for the Phenom sample holder.

A fixed angle, not a free one#
Where RT and T leave tilt to the operator, the RET fixes it: a single encoded rotation axis set permanently at 54.7°, the geometry the brochure calls out for work like the investigation of micro-fossils. There is nothing to dial in — mount the sample, and every rotation happens at that same pre-tilt.
Repeatable to 0.03°#
Because the axis is encoded, each rotation position is read back rather than estimated, holding absolute accuracy under 0.2° (3 mrad) and repeatability under 0.03° (0.4 mrad) across a full 360° sweep — useful whenever a series of images or measurements needs to return to the same orientation.
