RETE — Tilt & Rotation Stage (Encoded)
A dual-axis tilt and rotation stage for the Phenom sample holder — both axes encoded.

Both axes encoded#
The RETE takes RT’s free tilt-and-rotation geometry and adds encoders to both axes, so every tilt and rotation position is read back rather than estimated by hand. Tilt runs the full ±90° and rotation a full 360°, matched to the family’s absolute accuracy of under 0.2° (3 mrad) and repeatability under 0.03° (0.4 mrad).
Returning to an orientation on demand#
That encoding is what separates RETE from RET: instead of one fixed pre-tilt, any tilt-rotation combination can be logged and returned to later — the brochure’s example is re-examining the same section through a series of dental tooth-section samples, tilting and rotating each one back to a matching orientation.
