A 22-gram stage that clips onto yours#

At 33 × 33 mm and 22 g bare, the LT3310 sits on top of the standard SEM/FIB stage without eating into its load budget, adding 10 mm of X/Y travel with resolution better than 0.02 nm. An optional 7 mm Z axis brings the stack to 30 mm plus travel at 34 g; an optional rotation axis holds height to 16.6 mm at 27 g. Samples up to 25 × 25 mm are supported, with 50 g of load capacity and 25 g of lift, mounted through four M2 holes on a 4 × 2 mm substage pattern — plug-and-play, with interfacing solutions for most instruments including the load lock.

From cell counting to UHV#

The compact build pushes resonance frequencies higher than a bulkier stage would allow, and the design has run a one-year endurance test. The rotary axis and smooth travel make the LT3310 as much a cell- and particle-counting tool as a manipulation stage. It operates in atmosphere, in the SEM/FIB down to 10⁻⁷ mbar, and across 273 K to 353 K standard; a UHV version extends that to 393 K and 2 × 10⁻¹⁰ mbar for low-temperature, ultra-high-vacuum work.
